Job Description

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for a client in Grapevine, TX. This is a swing shift position with hours for Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, material movement, storage organization, warehouse security, and team supervision. This role ensures efficient warehouse performance, maintains inventory accuracy, supports cost-reduction initiatives, and promotes a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management (80%)

  • Lead and supervise warehouse personnel through hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
  • Establish and communicate performance expectations while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support warehouse operational goals by implementing productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues while recommending process and system improvements.
  • Assist with annual budget planning, monitor expenditures, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule the movement of inventory between warehouse locations and internal departments.
  • Receive, store, transfer, and distribute supplies, materials, and equipment to support operational requirements.
  • Maintain organized and efficient storage areas by optimizing warehouse layout and adhering to best storage practices.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, monthly physical inventories, variance reconciliation, and system updates.
  • Maintain warehouse security, including alarm system monitoring, testing, and compliance with security procedures.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained by enforcing operating procedures, coordinating preventive maintenance, and arranging repairs when necessary.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction (10%)

  • Drive warehouse efficiency initiatives and cost-reduction programs to improve product flow and operational performance.
  • Analyze inventory, delivery, and operational data to identify root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages open communication, feedback, and continuous improvement.

Leadership & Team Development (10%)

  • Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values and objectives.
  • Champion workplace safety and employee well-being by maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, external customers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure inventory allocation and warehouse processes support cost-effective and efficient product flow throughout the operation.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of warehouse operations or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly:
    • Excel for reporting and data analysis
    • Word for creating SOPs, work instructions, and procedures
    • PowerPoint for presentations and training materials
  • Experience with ISO standards and document control processes preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to work overtime as business needs require.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adjust priorities based on operational demands.
